Teen-pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo is officially releasing new music. Her single, “Vampire”, is set to release at the end of this month. This is Rodrigo’s first release since her hit 2021 debut album Sour, and fans are unsure what to expect from the track.

First gaining recognition for her role as Paige Olvera in the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark in 2016, Rodrigo has since built a strong fan base as an actress and musician. In 2019, fans saw more of her musical talent in her role as main character Nini, in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
However, her debut single “driver’s license” and the subsequent release of Sour have been the first musical works curated by the artist herself. Drawing from personal experiences in life and love, Olivia Rodrigo perfectly encapsulated the teenage condition, offering her like-minded audience a diverse range of anthemic tracks that validate and understand their experiences.

As the star has risen in popularity and cultivated an abundance of adoring supporters, it’s unclear in which direction her music style will go. In this stage of her music career, Rodrigo is at a crossroads where she may feel compelled to strike a balance between maintaining stylistic loyalty for her current fanbase and intuitively refining her own sound. Luckily for Rodrigo, her fans are aging right beside her, and may collectively be ready to embrace nuances in the artist’s style.
